Financial information for those impacted by COVID-19
Events are moving rapidly. Federal, state and local governments are working to help. King County Council staff have compiled a range of information being developed by various agencies and governments that may be helpful to you and your residents on how to file for unemployment or workers’ comp; help with paying utilities, rent, and mortgages; issues with insurance; food assistance; and much more. All of this information is below.
COVID-19 Business Assistance
A collaborative city effort between Bellevue, Issaquah, Kirkland, Redmond and Renton launched (re)STARTUP425 to offer free one-on-one technical business assistance and resources to Eastside small business owners in partnership with Business Impact NW.
This program provides assistance to business owners navigating city, state, federal, and private economic relief programs related to COVID-19. Visit re.startup425.org to find resources, submit questions and request technical business assistance. Resources and assistance are available in multiple languages.

Small Business Resources
The Small Business Administration (SBA) released a toolkit offering guidance for businesses and employers to plan and respond to Coronavirus. They also offer the Economic Injury Disaster Loan program that provides small businesses with working capital loans of up to $2 million that can provide vital economic support to small businesses to help overcome the temporary loss of revenue they are experiencing.

March 30, 2020 – A letter from Mayor Pavone to Renton business Owners.
On March 23, 2020, Governor Inslee issued an Executive Order directing all residents immediately to heed current State public health directives to stay home, except as needed to maintain continuity of operations of essential critical infrastructure sectors and additional sectors as the State Public Health Officer may designate as critical to protect health and well-being of all Washingtonians.
