The Renton Multicultural Festival has received an honor to acknowledge the event’s broad reach and sustained momentum in it’s third year. With cooperation between Renton’s diverse communties and many volunteer efforts, the Renton Multicultural Festival has become a great success. According to Mayor Dennis Law, “The Renton Multicultural Festival has quickly become one of our city’s most highly anticipated events.”

The city and volunteers involved with the event have been recognized by the Puget Sound Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) with a Certificate of Excellence. The past event planning and promotion for the Renton Multicultural Festival used a wide range of outreach techniques to encompass as much diversity and inclusion as possible.

The mayor sends his thanks and gratitude for all who helped the event reach success. “When I formed the task force [for the festival],” said Law, “I asked them to unite the community, celebrate Renton’s cultural differences, and work to make Renton an inclusive city with equal opportunities for all residents. The Renton Multicultural Festival accomplishes all three. The fourth annual festival is scheduled for September 13 and 14. I hope you can join us.”

According to the event page: “The third annual Renton Multicultural Festival will be held Friday, September 13, 2019, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Carco Theatre, and Saturday, September 14, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Renton Pavilion Event Center & Piazza Park.”

The 2019 festival will be free to enter and complete with cultural performances, food, and activities for the whole family to enjoy.
