WE’RE EMBARKING ON A NEW ERA in cancer care in Renton with the construction of UW Medicine Valley Medical Center’s Cancer Center. Since opening in 1947, Valley Medical has been a vital part of our community, by providing first class care and expanding to meet the needs of our ever-changing community. In fact it is the oldest and largest public hospital district in the state. This new center will provide local residents with the opportunity to receive quality cancer care treatment in one state-of-the-art facility, without the need to transfer to other medical facilities in Seattle for specialized treatment. Renton is truly blessed to have one of the finest medical institutions and staff in the country located in our community.
