The City of Renton, in partnership with other eastside cities, invites business owners to participate in a new, free business directory and map called What’s Open Eastside. If you’ve seen Seattle’s ‘restaurant map’, this is similar, but this directory will include all business types, not just restaurants.

What’s Open Eastside is a free opportunity for businesses to publicize what services their business offers and any updates on the status of operations. Businesses are encouraged to enter basic information such as hours, take-out and delivery options, and virtual offerings so that customers can search for the services they need. Listings can manage be managed in real-time, making updates as operations and business needs change.

We are asking businesses to pre-populate the map and directory by adding their information via the initial business entry form by Thursday, May 21. Once business information has been added, owners can update the data anytime by visiting What’s Open Eastside, and clicking on their business. Beginning May 25, What’s Open Eastside will be marketed throughout the Eastside and the region.

Restaurants:

If you operate a restaurant and previously added it to the regional map, it will automatically be included on May 19 as part of this new, more comprehensive marketing tool. Please be sure to go into What’s Open Eastside and update your business’s hours of operation and description as they will be pre-populated to show hours of 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday – Friday.

What’s Open Eastside was created in partnership through (re)STARTUP425, a collaboration of the cities of Redmond, Bellevue, Kirkland, Issaquah, and Renton. (re)STARTUP425 also provides free, one-on-one guidance for small businesses and nonprofits on how to navigate relief funding from various sources. The Eastside’s economy doesn’t recognize borders, so we are working together to connect businesses with customers.
